| Welcome to the Fitch & Leedes PGA Championship! |
| Less than a week to go until we host the 5th PGA Championship at St Francis Links! This time, we are incredibly proud to have Fitch & Leedes, our local bespoke mixer of choice, as the title sponsor!
To add to the excitement, Jeff and Dave Usendorff hosted a great talk in the bar after golf last night, which kicked off with this video filmed on-course yesterday: |
| Members enjoyed the back and forth of golf stories from days gone by, as Jeff and Dave shared the mic and reminisced on legends of the game, funny tales and even the impact of LIV Golf. Thanks to Dave and Elri for visiting us! |
| First played in 1923, the prestigious Championship has seen legends such as Gary Player, Louis Oosthuizen, Ernie Els, and Dale Hayes lift the trophy in victory. |
| Stay updated with entries, daily draws, results, and highlights by downloading the Sunshine Tour app.
Our residents, members and visitors are most welcome to walk and enjoy the golf, but viewing areas need to be discreet and respected. Certain areas of the course will be roped off and access inside the ropes are restricted. Please respect the instructions from marshals and rules officials.
Our members will have exclusive access to Jack’s Bar and need to collect accreditation from the Community Association Management (CAM) offices in the clubhouse from Monday onwards, during office hours.
Don’t worry about the little ones! The Kids Club will be open as usual, and anyone is welcome.
Your St Francis Links team is super excited to host this event, and we hope that you all share our pride in being the home of the PGA Championship. |
| Greenkeepers’ Gathering: The Ladies and Gents who provide us with these amazing courses! |
| We were excited to host a special gathering of our region’s dedicated greenkeepers and service providers this past Tuesday!
From St Francis Links to Fancourt Links, and from Goose Valley to Simola, these incredible individuals are the unsung heroes who rise before dawn to ensure our beloved courses across the Southern and Eastern Cape are in impeccable, tip-top shape, making our region a must play for all golfers.
The day kicked off with a productive meeting, accompanied by some delightful light snacks, before everyone had the chance to experience the beauty and challenge of our stunning course.
A round of applause goes to Charl Blaauw and his amazing team for showcasing the course so brilliantly, handling all the arrangements, and enjoying a well-deserved day with their peers. The evening culminated in a casual prize-giving at Joe Fish in Cape St Francis, where we had no loser – only winners – celebrating golf and the impact they make on every golfer that walks through the door. |
| Festive Season kicks off with a Residents Get-Together |
| What better way to start the season than to get to know your neighbour… and also the ins and outs of the festive season! Our HODs loved networking with our residents last Tuesday evening, in a casual and informative get-together. Each HOD shared exciting updates and pre-season plans before we all enjoyed a delicious meal together. Community living truly comes alive when we connect, share, and spend time together. |
| Scan the QR code and get booking… limited seats for each of the shows are available, for everyone’s comfort. |
| The Juniors Golf Community |

| While working through to-do lists and sticking to appointments does give you a sense of achievement, it’s important to give yourself time to reset. Many go to the gym or out for a run, but those activities can also become part of the grind. Golf offers a real escape. |
 |
|
| When we step away from work and schedules, we need more than just physical movement. We also need a revitalising outdoors environment that gives us opportunities to engage and share with others. We need a sense of belonging in a place that is completely different to “the grind”. A golf course is the perfect setting. |
|
| Getting out onto the course with friends or family, or both, can be the perfect way to refresh and restore yourself. If you have a non-golfing friend or family member, speak to us about getting them started. |
