The Year in Review!

 15

Growth – New homeowners and property owners; more reserves for the future, more rounds by members and guests
Improvements – New tees, upgrades to the course, better playability, resurfaced pool and plenty of preventative and critical maintenance
Recognition – From testimonials to articles, the news was all good as we presented the best experiences in the business
Motivation – The quality of what we provide, from the condition of the estate and course to the quality and consistency of the products we supply, enbable our staff to be proud of what they do!
Education – Maintaining and improving the estate is a work in progress, learning from our years of experience and constantly seeking knowledge to make it even better.
Community – As we enter our second decade, the community of St Francis Links is being shaped  the residents – from Tuesday coffee to the Monday School and following Book Club, to monthly get-togethers and special events, we are attacting young families to the “forever young” and the mix is a benefit to all.
One for the record books – Most new homes (22) and most rounds (18 000+) and best year financially in the Club and the HOA
Looking ahead – We can be pleased to be living where my friend calls, “a pocket of excellence” – The years ahead  will come with opportunities and challenges, many that come with growth. The team at St Francis Links will continue to do our best to understand, then anticipate and be flexible to your needs and wants – to put our members first, then treat our guests as members for their stay!

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays!

IGTM at Cannes was outstanding!
My trip to France with Fasie Malherbe and Anita Lennox from Cape St Francis Resort was fruitful as an understatement. After meetings with owners, CEO’s and representatives from more than 35 travel companies from all over the world, I feel confident that many will be using the Eastern Cape as the start or finish to their South African holiday. We worked well together sharing our resources to impress our guests. It was amazing the number of representatives who had not experienced anything beyond the Garden Route. We offered the best golf, ocean-front accommodation and a wealth of activities from whale watching, canal cruises, cultural tours, Calamari tastings, river cruises and one of their best-kept secrets, a trip up river to the farm (which I experienced for the first time just before we left for the Golf Market). I emphasized our desire “to get personal” with couples to groups.

IGTM2

I really think we scored on all fronts with representatives from the UK to China and Italy to Sweden. We sat with folks from Slovania and Slovokia, France, Canada and even Austin, Texas. We also worked very well with our neighbours on the SA stand – Fancourt, Arabella, the Sun International Group, Pro Travel, Guilt-Edge, Gondwana Reserve (a very impressive 12 000+ hecter reserve) that is home to free-roaming Big-5 with amazing accommodation and Zimbali. The girls next door were there not for the 1st time, but as 1st-time presentors from J-Burg and their company, pela/pela. They look after inbound clients and organize trips for Club golfers – we will do great business with them too!
