It’s the Holidays – yeowzers, already?
It’s only two months away and some of you are already in motion with plans for the holidays. Two of our main events (always a sellout) are open for early bookings – Christmas Day Lunch and New Year’s Eve. Our full season calendar including our special 10th Anniversary events will be featured in the weeks to come. Our accommodation agents are telling us that it will be another bumper season – St Francis Links will be the place to be!

Team up for TEAMWORK!
As a club still growing in so many ways, getting enough enthusiastic ladies to play league can be tricky. This year we teamed up with a couple of girls from Hankey and Zwartenbosch with improved results.
Herewith a picture of the LHZ Ladies League Team taken today at our ‘End of Season’ lunch held at Le Chameleon.

The ladies all played with great spirit and willingness and we are pleased to advise that, after coming bottom of the League last year, we came 4th this season – a great achievement.
Chante is one of our up and coming young players and is going to be doing her PGA apprenticeship in PE.
We wish her well with her chosen career.

All participants from our Wednesday school and everyone else who would like to share an evening of entertainment, great food, drink and laughter, should make a plan to be here on Wednesday, the 23rd of November! Who leads from the front and who knows how to pick a partner. Who are our Order of Merit winners and our major champions? Join us as we celebrate the highs and not-so-highs from this year’s golf.

Vodacom Origins of Golf Returns
…and you should come and watch!
The Vodacom Origins of Golf is in it’s second decade of play and we have hosted many events here and at Pezula before. The finals will be played the first week in November concluding on Saturday, the 5th with 72 amateurs and 72 professionals playing a two-day pro-am on Tuesday and Wednesday. Then the professionals will follow on playing 54 holes on our great course. Last year, young Christiaan Basson posted the best 54-hole total in our history eking out a one shot victory as 19 players broke par. This year, he will be joined by other winners from the Vodacom events played before ours as well as the likes of Titch, Wallie and Lyle, out local favorites. We would really like to encourage you and your friends to make a plan and join us for the 2016 Vodacom Origins of Golf FINAL at St Francis Links from 31 October to 5 November.

-Recently turned cart mechanic (Note from JC – and greatly appreciated)
-I like to maintain a fit lifestyle, and the fact that I don’t have a car contributes to the effort.
-I am at my most comfortable when outdoors; fishing, hunting, running, hiking are things I like to do in my off time.
I dream big to prepare my mind to do big things.

St Francis Links was part of my development plan (for myself). I am eager to learn and experience all there is, to prepare myself for the next chapter of LIFE.
Louise Nieveldt, housekeeper.
Louise has worked for St Francis Links for about nine years as a housekeeper. She has two children who are her life.
Her hobbies included exercising and going to the beach. Louise says: ‘ I love my job and the role I play at St Francis Links.”
