Pam Golding Ladies Open Weekend!
The Ladies Weekend was a huge success!
With Mother Nature in her worst mood over the last two months, it was a breath of fresh air this past weekend when she simply kept our guests cool!
The third Annual Pam Golding Ladies Open Weekend was again well supported with ladies from all over South Africa! Former Ladies President, Erica Lefson, was joined by Easter Province President, Melissa Palmer and Club Captains from 10 of the represented Clubs in the event! Humewood stole the honours this years as the best represented club with 24 players! Ammamarie sponsored a R5000 Hole-in-One at The Bay and Bay Union insurers teamed up with Dirk Ellis Motors in providing a new VW Polo for a Hole-in-One on the 17th at St Francis Bay! Unfortunately, there were no winners – just excited “participants” Pete, the Greek, played the night away at The Links as the ladies captured the theme of the evening properly. Our local Super Spar and our local Spas and Skin Care Clinics were all involved, Richard Arderne covered the prize fund, flowers were arranged, wines and olives came from Jean Fynn and we organized a weekend for 2 with Carol Horlock at The Golf House. The Ladies experienced great course with great weather, food, drink, dancing and song! I am sure the tournament will remain on their caelndars and be add on so-many more.

Knysna lady golfers win the Ladies Open trophy in St Francis Bay! Jill Simmonds And Melanie Bray from Knysna Golf Club were the overall winners in the Ladies Open Golf Day with their scores of 44 and 46 on two days (totalling 90 points). , Sponsored by Pam Golding Properties, St Francis Bay, this annual event is played at both courses – at St Francis Bay Golf Club and at St Francis Links.
Representing Pam Golding at prize giving was Emily O’Bray. Pam Golding was thanked for its continued sponsorship of this event.
Plus all the organisers and the captains of the various teams were also thanked – seen in photos here, taken by Bev Mortimer. .
Last night the ladies who came from far and wide across South Africa celebrated in great style and with lots of fun and laughter at St Francis Links.

Holiday golf times from 6h40 – 9h00 and 12h00 to 14h20
The 10th Anniversary events and holiday functions are fast approaching. As the golfing members should know, we will reserve all of the morning play in the holiday season for members and your guests. Please make your bookings for play in advance of 48 hours out. If, within two days of play, the morning times have not been booked, they will be released for open play. Members may book now with their players names now! People who will be here for the holidays and are wishing to play, may reserve times in the afternoon now. The Clubhouse will be a hive of activity during the holiday period with food and beverage (new menu items) from breakfast through dinner. In addition to our special events, we will be open for a la carte throughout the holiday period. Come as you are (beach town comfortable with footwear) and enjoy comfortable drinking and dining with easy free parking, easy access and great service. Christmas Lunch is already filling up fast with more than 250 booked and paid. New Year’s Eve under the roof will once again be a real winner with live music and endless food and drink! We kick off the holiday season with a charity event for the Kromme Enviro Trust on the 18th; this fun event will be played over the Ultimate Par-3 course with a fun “Amazing Race” twist. Sponsorships are needed and encouraged. Our annual golfing fundraiser for the NSRI frollows on the 21st. Stock up for the holidays with wines from SA’s best wine farms as we host the Food and Wine Festival on the 19th! The Pam Golding Annual will be played on Jan 2nd and 3rd with our Men’s Member-Member scheduled for Friday and Saturday, the 6th and 7th of January. Laugh with “The Puppet Man” as Conrad Koch as he and his friends keep it (un)real! Please enter these events early so that we may plan accordingly.

Sharon Kapang – Pro Shop Assistant
Sharon started with us 4 years ago, she started off as a waitress and joined our pro shop team in March 2016.
Sharon is the mother of two beautiful children and lives in St Francis Bay. Since March she has developed quite a love for the retail and golf industry. Her warm personality and welcoming smile is endless.
Her ability to make members and guests leave with a smile on their face is one of her best traits.
In the words of Mr Clause…. Thanks for all you do, Sharon.
