Looking after those who look after us!

 

Kouga Local Municipality had their conference with us on Thursday and Friday 17 & 18 Feb 2021. The main aim of the conference was teambuilding. St Francis Links had the privilege to host a MASTER CHEF COOK-OFF and an AMAZING RACE event for them!

 

Thursday – MASTER CHEF COOK-OFF

On Thursday night we hosted a Master Chef Cook-Off Competition.  We saw some interesting cooking skills from the teams.  There were 4 teams of 4 each and each team had to prepare and cook a dish. Our Head Chef Rauzhea Buys and a KLM representative did the judging. The winning team was LET’S COOK!

 

Friday – AMAZING RACE

On Friday there were 38 delegates who participated in an Amazing Race (with a twist) teambuilding event. There was 17 task to complete all over our clubhouse and golf course.  The listening skills, communication and working together as a team were tested. Listen was the first task that they failed in and after running around for about 10min not taking the time to read their clues, SFL managers assisted them to calm down and take a moment just to read and think about the first rule that was given to them at the start! It went better from thereon.

Tasks included daily offerings that St Francis Links presents, what we do at the Links, Fire Department also assisted with an activity (we couldn’t make a fire, due to the wind, but other skills were tested at this station). Activities like electrical work, waterworks, and road service were also bought in as this is part of Kouga services.

THE WINNING TEAM was the GREY TEAM (which was one member less than the other teams)! CONGRATULATIONS!

One of the biggest and best weddings to date!

The DeVilliers’ wedding over the past weekend was an “event” to say the very least. The wedding attended by 200 enthusiastic guests were treated to the best of the best on offer.

Jessica De Villiers and Sean Hooker were married here on an amazing day!
