Investment leads to home building…and we are building!
Building on the estate is another big highlight along with our accolades received. And I am sure the accolades and the enormously successful PGA Championship have contributed to the renewed interest. Property and home prices are steadily increasing and homes sales are at record highs, with a number of owners who have sold, reinvesting again to build new homes. We have replaced speculators (to be fair, investors) with homeowners. During the tournament coverage, I had the opportunity to talk about the estate, our area schools, and the new Villas. We received inquiries straight away!
15 registered transfers from 1 Oct 21 to date (including 5 homes!)
17 completed homes sold and transferred last year
27 new homes under construction
54 sales pending registration
62 new homes in the planning / concept / submission stages
110 total registered transfers last year
Love is in the Air!
What a cool young man!
OG (pronounced Oh Gee) is the young man whose voice you hear on Supersport’s Golf commentary. Liezl and I met him personally here during the coverage of the PGA Championship. What an impressive guy he is – full of enthusiasm, commitment and knowledge. He’s not just a pretty face either. Besides his full-time job, he started a foundation to assist the less fortunate. His story was compelling. He wrote this letter to Liezl after the tournament.
Hope you are well.
I’d like to say again that it was so lovely meeting you last week and you guys really put on a great show for the PGA Championship. I have attached a document that gives a brief background about the work I do outside of SuperSport in my bid to grow the game of golf.
I started the OG Molefe Foundation in 2018, and really hope to one day unearth some amazing talent out of it. As with most organisations, the past 18 months have been tough for us, and we had to push back our plans to install an artificial chipping and parting green for our kids to practice on at our facility due to a lack of funding. We hope that through some fundraising initiatives in 2022 we will be able to do that and more.
Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions or require any additional information, and once again thank you so much for this opportunity Liezl.
Kind regards
OG Molefe

Hosting Eastern Cape Nomads
I had the pleasure of joining Nomads Eastern Cape who played the Links last weekend. I played with father and son Ian and David Gooden as well as National Chairman Stuart McIver. During a braai hosted that evening (thank you Ian and Joanne Gooden), we applauded 3 Past National Chairmen present, all from the proud EC seen here in the pic with me:
Greg Clack, Alan Orchard and Stuart McIver.
Hats off to you all! Nomads continue to support golf and raise funds for charity all over the country.
Team Member of the Week
Lynette Stander
It’s my Year Anniversary at The Links!
I arrived from Durban North, KZN on the 23rd November 2020 to take up my position in the HOA and Admin Office – What an amazing 12 months it has been working with the wonderful Team at The Links.
Covid forced my retrenchment from the Corporate Travel Industry, St Francis Bay was always our Retirement Dream – now we are working towards it!
I am married to Rory Stander, we have been together for 33 years and have two sons: Tyler, aged 30 – who works with Rory on the waterproofing team and Damien, aged 29 – who is an Engineer on the Super Yachts, currently in Barcelona prepping for a crossing to The Bahamas.
I am a member of St Francis Runners Club and a new parkrun volunteer at The Links parkrun.
We are a passionate Ocean Loving family, always fishing, surfing and paddling.
I love liaising with all the Homeowners and Tenants at The Links and am always in awe of the Beautiful Estate I work on.
Note: The travel industry’s loss is our gain! JC
…in case you missed it!
