A room filled with new knowledge about snakes
A Charming Snake experience,
On the 13th of February, Mark Marshall gave an amazing snake talk.
Our members as well as St Francis Bay Locals all arrived, wanting to improve their understanding of the snakes that can be found in the area.
He showed and explained the following beautiful specimens:
- Mole Snake
- Boomslang
- Brown House Snake
- Python
- Cape Cobra
- Rinkhals
- Puff Addar
Explaining what one should do when one finds one, and where you could most likely find each species.
Thereafter we had a course on how to catch them! It was extremely informative, and being taught how to handle and react around these beautiful creatures was an amazing experience.
If you encounter a snake, call the helpline 082 431 0082.
Hats Off to Elsa Senekal
You all know how much a very small team from HOSPICE so positively prepares families for life after death. Every year we host the Woodland’s Dairy Days for HOSPICE, and for nearly every year, Sister Ingrid shares her passionate stories and appeals for support – the support follows. But, theirs, is a thankless job, often dealing with desperate situations in all locations. Our member, Elsa Senekal, has joined HOSPICE giving her time and passion to the cause, Hats off to Elsa! Our local Rotary Club has also come on board to sponsor Elsa’s training, which is extensive. Below are the representatives from Rotary and HOSPICE.

Els for Autism returns to St Francis Links
Special thanks to all who participated, from players to sponsors. Hats off to Sieg Lokotsch and Jendamark for their outstanding contribution to the day. 120 players competed and nearly R300 000 was raised at the auction. Adrian Gardiner and The Founder’s Lodge accommodation packages sold twice for R50K. He also spoke and reminisced about Ernie and the Els family. Our members scooped up most of the prizes and why not!
Oh, what a day (and Night)

Good afternoon,
Please see attached.
You are invited, along with any property owners to attend this talk at the Links. With the new general valuation roll being released at the end of this month, property owners (residential, agri and business) will find this talk informative. Lientjie is so knowledgeable, and it will assist in determining whether objections should be lodged, as well as how.
