Since the end of the lockdown, demand for property in the area is in high demand. Everyone I speak to from Plett to here is reporting record sales. People want clean air, lifestyle choices, security and schools. Many can and do work from home. Our clients are coming from Gqeberha (PE), Durban and other major cities. we currently have over 20 homes under construction and another 46 transfers pending! The quality of St Francis Links is attracting investors of all ages, many of who have played here often or enjoyed what is on offer. Members are our ambassadors by attracting friends to join in. We love it!

New Event – The Men’s and Ladies’ Stableford Championships
Stableford!!!
Last year the schedule was disrupted by C19 and, for the first time, the Men’s and Ladies’ Champs were played separately. Two developments came from it. Very few ladies played in the Stableford or the Medal, yet a month ago they pulled 24 ladies on the day. This year we want to see our ladies play in both the Stableford and the Medal, so we’ve separated them. The Medal (major) for ladies will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, 27 and 28 April with Stableford for men and ladies played on Saturday and Sunday, 1 and 2 May.
Playing the Men’s Champs in December was so well represented, we made the decision to play the Medal then again, this year with 3 Divisions.
Let’s call this a test. Your support will determine the road forward. We are trying the new format because it was suggested by a member. The Club will sponsor the Stableford Championships and the Medal Championships will continue as they have in the past, with fees to include prizes and lunch.

Roshart Groenewald
I have been working for St Francis Links for 2 years, in the role as barman , but also assisting in maintenance. The thing I like most about being a barman is making cappuccino’s, cocktails and serving guests. I like to make guests feel welcome and happy so they can come back for a top experience at The Links. I am a goodhearted person, like to make jokes, to make other people laugh and to spread positivity! I love music and dancing, enjoy playing all different kinds of sports like golf, rugby and tennis. I was in the Navy Cadet Midshipmen in Simons Town, Cape Town. I have a caring and loving family, with my Granny and my Mother always there for me. They are the best in the whole wide world. I also have a younger brother and sister.
