Our Growing Community
Time and Dine was well supported!
Last week, our new chairman Sakkie Burger opened our second quarterly Time & Dine evening and introduced all members of the Board!

Jeff went through a series of slides addressing member ideas, concerns and support. With more than 150 residents in attendance, and great networking amongst each other, we have found the recipe for continued interaction and communications. Once again, our various departmental heads manned the “Ideas Desks” where members could meet and ask questions first hand.

Save the Date for our next meeting, which will be on Thursday 2 May 2024.

Make golf your Valentine
Love yourself and your game
While Valentine’s Day is a celebration of romantic love, it can also be an opportunity to show yourself some love. With golf as your Valentine, you’ve got a partner that helps you to be the happiest, healthiest version of yourself.
Hitting a long drive down the middle, chipping in from around the green, holing a clutch par putt; these are the types of memories you’ll make during a life with golf, but there’s also the health and wellness perks to enjoy.
Spending time in nature does more than reduce stress and anxiety, it also makes you more mindful and aware. And taking that back into the other areas of your life makes you more resilient.
The 4- to 5-hours of walking you do over 18 holes burns up to 1,500 calories. That’s almost the same amount of energy as running a half marathon, but a lot more fun.
For the love of the game

The Proudfoot Trophy is given to the winner of the two qualifying rounds for the SA Amateur.

Cleveland Launch
Halo XL
Many of you very rarely use a fairway wood off the deck because you lack confidence. It’s a difficult shot. You give up distance and use a shorter club. Often a hybrid. A HY-WOOD gives you the easier use of a hybrid with the distance of a fairway wood.
What will you experience?
• Gains in distance that only a mainframe face designed by Ai can give you.
• The impact on power of a metalwood with two ‘flex’ zones to increase rebound speed and therefore ball speed.
• An easier launch (compared to a fairway wood) created by the smaller head with a lower CG (compared to a fairway wood).
• Less turf obstruction with an easier glide through the turf for cleaner contact.
• More spin on approach shots with your shorter clubs.
• A clubhead you get back to the ball, square at impact more often.
There’s really only one way to find out and that’s to hit one. When you do, think about every time you’d have a better option out on the course.
