right down to the Vegetarian meals…
Recently, Chef John has prepared meals for the St Francis Bridge Tournament, treated the ladies watching “the” wedding to proper treats, wowed those attending a member’s birthday party, spoiled the ladies after the Invitational with an “easy” cooking demo and fueled the Ferrari Club with a lunch to remember. When he is not restricted to an unrealistic budget, he spreads his wings properly and makes us all proud. What do you pay for a good night out??? – that can be anything as long as the meal, presentation and service exceeds your expectations.
We cannot always compete in price with other local restaurants, as our staff “benefits” come at a higher cost than those we compete with. Transport (to and from their homes), uniforms, meal allowances and provident funds are provided to all Club staff members, many who have been with us for years. So, from the menu, we endeavor to always make good food really good, and for special occasions, let Chef Jon strut his stuff.
Food costs relate to availability and quality. We have made the mistake in letting price drive the purchase. That decision compromised quality and on occasions, the quality did not meet our lofty standards and your expectations. As a Club, we commit ourselves to the “experience” and our food and beverage quality and service are paramount in that delivery. We are proud of Jon and our entire team. Join us for your next special occasion or just to enjoy the view and an easy meal from the veranda. Our saying remains, “treat our members as Royalty and our guests as members for the stay”.
Our next food and wine paired evening is coming soon. Book now for a very special evening featuring the wines from

The Ladies Invitational – Exceeding Expectations!
This year we hosted our Lady members and their friends for another Invitational. To exceed expectations, we have to pull out all the stops, or should I say, starts.
We started with hot coffee and cool Smoothies on arrival. Then the Professionals donned the PGA blazers and met them all on the first tee; following that with pictures of the players on the course (shown after at prizegiving). The ladies all received vouchers for treatments at our AQUA SPA and enjoyed a short massage after play on the deck. The Chef was in top form, providing a great chicken combo, presented properly. Wine was served and prizegiving followed. Chef Jon then showed them all how to make the “White Chocolate Panna Cotta with a zesty mango syrup”, yum. Then we served it!
Sandra Marais took full advantage of the great course and conditions, shooting 87 gross, 65 nett. Her 42 points would have been good enough for third place on her own!
Congratulations to our winners:
1st – Sandra Marais & Sonnette Korff (46 points)
2nd – Sandra Cunningham & Margie Stewart
3rd – Gillian Hammond & Jo Brown
Nearest to the Pin – Helen Bridges
Longest Drive – Dale Ball
How did we do, Ladies!
