The Anniversay week and weekend – 7 – 11 December
As the Anniversary approaches we are appealing to all of you, our members, to sign up for the activiites on offer. We must push the buttons for all that is required behind the scenes to make every event a “memory booker”.
On the 7th, Wednesday, Seartec and the SHARP Golf Day will be adding great value to our Wednesday School with special guests, Bob Skinstad, Greg Minnaar (world mountain bike champion) and Dale Steyn (a bit of a fast bowler)! It’s going to be a big day with the guys sharing some stories after the golf – bookings for golf are limited.

Special tees will be located in the 18th Fairway with the 18th Green as the target as we do a little Shoot-out with a real twist. Bring the family, invite your friends and enjoy an evening of FUN. Please book TODAY as we need numbers for preparation!

Holiday golf times from 6h40 – 9h00 and 12h00 to 14h20
The 10th Anniversary events and holiday functions are fast approaching. As the golfing members should know, we will reserve all of the morning play in the holiday season for members and your guests. Please make your bookings for play in advance of 48 hours out. If, within two days of play, the morning times have not been booked, they will be released for open play. Members may book now with their players names now! People who will be here for the holidays and are wishing to play, may reserve times in the afternoon now. The Clubhouse will be a hive of activity during the holiday period with food and beverage (new menu items) from breakfast through dinner. In addition to our special events, we will be open for a la carte throughout the holiday period. Come as you are (beach town comfortable with footwear) and enjoy comfortable drinking and dining with easy free parking, easy access and great service. Christmas Lunch is already filling up fast with more than 250 booked and paid. New Year’s Eve under the roof will once again be a real winner with live music and endless food and drink! We kick off the holiday season with a charity event for the Kromme Enviro Trust on the 18th; this fun event will be played over the Ultimate Par-3 course with a fun “Amazing Race” twist. Sponsorships are needed and encouraged. Our annual golfing fundraiser for the NSRI frollows on the 21st. Stock up for the holidays with wines from SA’s best wine farms as we host the Food and Wine Festival on the 19th! The Pam Golding Annual will be played on Jan 2nd and 3rd with our Men’s Member-Member scheduled for Friday and Saturday, the 6th and 7th of January. Laugh with “The Puppet Man” as Conrad Koch as he and his friends keep it (un)real! Please enter these events early so that we may plan accordingly.

It’s a treasure hunt and a test of golf skills you never knew you had.
Every hole is a new experience. Can you hit your tee shot left handed? Can you hit the green with a putter from 100 meters?
Can you spot what’s around you while you zip along in a golf cart? Are you bush savvy enough to pick up clues in your environment?
Have you got a kid with sharp eyes and lots of energy, a kid to run and pick up those clues while you tee your ball up? The whole family can take part, whether they play golf or not.
Challenge your golf buddy – your family against his – and see who’s best. There’s so much enjoyment in beating a good friend. And there’s plenty of opportunity for laughing at each other’s mis-hits and mistakes in this amazing race!

Wednesday School and the OSCARS!
We had a great turnout for the annual Oscars (Wednesday School and other special awards). Sandra Marais was missed as she swept the competiton with most wins and other incredibly special awards of recognition. Almost everyone received and award with prizes that totalled nearly R110! Great food and good stories made for a good evening!
