Our grass is ALWAYS greener!

Maybe it’s the time! Yep, it’s time to find out what our members know and appreciate – the best Cool Season golf in South Africa! Get out of Joey’s; get out of Durbs and get out of cold Capetown! It’s only an hour and a bit from PE! Before we close for Spring Programme on the 16th of August, come to St Francis Links where the accolades just keep coming! Hey, the greens are rolling true, the days are cool and the burgers after are true!

Jack Nicklaus said, “this may be the best he’s ever seen …and that’s better than the best he’s ever done”. He also said it would evolve – evolve it has – more in harmony with the natural surrounds, in balance with the beauty nature provided. Over the years it has matured and settled with scores improving as the result of better playability. I say to visitors, “there is more there than what you see” and that is because the landing areas are, in most cases, expansive. Ok, be careful on the 8th!

We have been forced to move some events to later in the year so the fairways are calling! can you hear them? Take advantage of the Thursday R555 special or make that the first day of a special weekend. If you are flying in, play Humewood Links on the way here. Add St Francis Bay Golf Club and play here twice! Take in some surfing, from the water or the shore. Enjoy our restaurants and the surroundings.  For your accommodation needs, call us first for recommendations – B&B’s to Beachbreak at The Cape St Francis Resort

Team Member of the Week – Louise Nieveldt

I Have been working at St Francis Links since 2008, so 13 years! I am a Housekeeper here at The Links but also enjoy helping out in other departments. For example, I assist the Halfway House during the turning time of golfers. I also assist the waitresses with clearing and sanitizing tables. When it is busy, I polish glasses and whatever else is required. I love creating a clean and fresh environment because when our guests walk through the main doors. I want them to feel happy and safe. the expression “First Impressions Last” motivates me even more to keep the face of the company neat and tidy. Our guests need to feel free to come back for more of what the Links have to offer. What I love about St Francis Links is the management team. They give us lots of opportunities to grow and sending us for training to get more skills in the Hospitality industry. I am honoured to have such wonderful leaders like Jeff and Liezl.

I come from a family of 7, 3 sisters and 4 brothers, we are a very close family. Our father has sadly passed away when I was 7 years old. By the Grace of God, our Mother raised us into very good & respectful people. We were taught to love one another unconditionally. A few years ago we sadly lost our eldest brother, but that made us even stronger and closer.

I am a mother of 2 beautiful kids, a boy of 22 years old and a daughter of 14 years old.
