People are noticing!

From the competing Tour Professionals to returning guests, everyone is commenting on the growth of home building on St Francis Links. For the past nine months, Liezl and I have been renting on the Estate and have really enjoyed the benefits of Estate living – secured living, lifestyle choices and a short drive to work and home. We were blessed to stay in Mike Wylie’s home at the top of Bruce’s Beauties for nearly 14 years. Mike selling his home was another blessing in disguise. Liezl and I embraced the opportunity to build our second home, the first at Pezula. She has actually found a little personal time (which is very little) to personalize this home. Our builder, Grant Marais’ attention to detail has ensured a fantastic finished product and we can’t wait to move in!

Three hours later…the furniture is in! Yeehaw!

The 4th Links Trophy hosted on our beautiful course is an Eastern Province Order of Merit event.

We are looking forward to seeing some of the best golfers in our region compete against each other in their respective divisions:
Two divisions of participation

6.8 and lower handicap index gets you playing in the A Division, a true test of golf – No carts permitted 36 holes in one day.

6.9 and above handicap index will let you participate in the B division – 18 holes – carts permitted

Knysna Pro-AM

Pro’s Teeing it up in Knysna.

The two professionals  Christo and me took a few of our members to the beautiful Knysna Golf Course to play in a Pro-Am.

Arriving in Knysna, staying in the beautiful Simola Hotel the evening before the Knysna Pro-Am was a stunning experience with breathtaking views.

The standards never dropped, being treated like royalty from arriving at the Hotel to teeing it up on the scenic Knysna Golf Course.

Beautiful fast greens, lush fairways, challenging pins, and a strong breeze made the day memorable.

Liezl called it a “GODcidence”

Ken Payet, from Sun International, invited Liezl and me to the final round of the Nedbank Challenge (their 40th Anniversary). What we didn’t expect was the total VIP treatment we received – Chairman’s seats on the 1st and 18th, complete with the Dale Hayes introduction and time with our good friend, Gary Player.

It was nice hooking up with TK as well.

The coincidence (GODcidence) came in the form of two meetings that took place during the day. The first was with Thomas ABT, CEO of the Sunshine Tour, and the team from Fluuid. Then we added representatives from the DP World Tour. Before leaving we created a working relationship with the Member liaison from the DP World Tour to create a platform to reach out to DP World Tour players and their families. Why, you ask?
