Our 2nd Rock Lily show had the room standing with applause!

Andrew Young was phenomenal! He hit notes with a tenor sax that most saxophonists couldn’t reach with an alto; the soprano sax was mind-blowing, and his lungs (holding notes) must have been super-human. Hey Jude was the final song on the playlist and the room was in full chorus with the band. Na… Na… Na…na na na na… na, na ,na, na, Hey, Jude!  But no one could leave without Beaker Street and his rendition was priceless!

Nearly 100 filled the deck and really got their money’s worth!

It is our desire to bring more and more great South African music to the deck with Mike Kimmings leading the way, organizing the artists, promoting the events and managing the door. We will offer food and drink specials throughout each show. Rock Lily established themselves as the venue for great South African music – we are now offering the Rock Lily feel on the deck – comfortable, casual and and for all who love good music.

Who says, It’s gonna be a long and cold winter?  We are heating it up at The Links!

Two of our best, Kevern and Eugenie are getting Married!

This weekend, two of our star employees are saying their vows and we are happy about it! Kevern and Eugenie are team leaders, by definition, and no one is happier than all of us at St Francis Links, that they are becoming one! The members threw a surprise tea for Eugenie, and they actually caught her by surprise. The pantry tea assisted her with special gifts. They’ll be married at 11h30 here at THEIR Links.

Thinus played well and The Coastal PGA side won the Webster Cup. Nicknamed TK, Thinus loved the greens at Simola and his putter helped him to two wins in three matches. The Webster Cup is played in tribute to Graeme Webster, our former head of the PGA of South Africa and a game-changer for many of us through the years. The Cup matches are played at the coast and inland on a rotating basis with teams comprised of 12  players from each side. This year the “coastals” romped to victory!
