Come to our members’ Get-together after golf on Wednesday for a catch-up, a great talk and presentation and a fine dinner.
The PGA Tour travels to Austin, Texas (my old hometown)
This week the Tour returns to Austin CC designed by the legendary Pete Dye for the WGC Matchplat Championships. The top 64 players in the world (minus Henrik Stenson who doesn’t fancy the format) will decend on Austin for golf and hopefully some of the things I love about Austin!
This was my home for a number of years; my daughter Lindsay is still there and will be Gracie’s guest at the event. Hopefully he’ll spend a dinner out with them for some of the best Barbeque on the planet. After he wins he can take on 6th street and the Live Music Capitol of the World. There are three major artists shown in the collage below. be the first to name two of the three and a fourball with your friends here at South Africa’s best is on us! Name all three and I’ll throw in the Santa Burgers!

This was our best year to date in almost every way:
- We finished our 106th home on the estate (57 are permanent residents)
- 16 homes are under construction
- 26 homes are in the planning or application stages
- We turned 10 with nearly R14M in the bank
- In February, we hosted more than 2400 golfers (1900 visitors)
- Our golf rounds were up by more than 3300 rounds – 17 550 in total
- We moved up in the nation ratings to No. 7 in Golf Digest
- The UK rates us No. 6
- The Swedish press rate us No.4
- With our members, No. 1
