It’s all about the EXPERIENCE!

Mother Nature kept giving us the rain that is needed elsewhere and when she was done with that, the wind helped us “blow the ladies away” at the third Pam Golding Ladies OPEN Weekend. 164 ladies from Pretoria to Plett and George to Uitenhage made the best of it. On Saturday, we attempted a delayed start with 9 holes; however, only a couple of groups got onto the course before the rains returned. The party on Saturday seemed to change the mood of the entire weekend and on Sunday, we were able to complete 18 holes on each course. 19 different Club Captains were represented and all received a voucher to come for a weekend later on. As a matter of fact, every lady who could not play the courses on Saturday received a voucher to return. When you have lemons, make lemonade! So we did! Hats off to our team who kept the spirits high as well as Heilie Uys, Jean Fynn and their team for giving their all at the Bay.

As hard as they worked, Heilie and Jean came home with 25 points on their back nine to capture first place on the Bay course. Pretoria friends of Wendy Higgins made it a great weekend as they managed 44 points to win here at The Links. What wind!

Our sponsors for the event and the ladies from both Clubs who made welcome snacks were greatly appreciated. Click here to see the full results.

Positive Attitude!
Next time you go to the golf course, have a positive attitude about your game. Do not think about negative swing thoughts.

Concentrate, remember those great shots you had in the past and enjoy the game. When you hit your next shot, have a positive swing thought as your last thought, not a negative one.

When you hit a bad shot, forget about it and think of how you can hit a great shot the next shot.
