I’ll take a bump over traffic jams…any day!

Why choose St Francis…

Let me share some reasons why

We are remote, yet accessible

We remain quiet but never sleeping

We offer amazing clean air unless the smell of the ocean puts you off, or the fragrance offered by the fynbos

Wonderful year-round weather (with a few perky days)

No ROBOTS (traffic lights) – in some cases not even stop signs where they are supposed to be!

ENJOY unbelievable Nature all around

An outdoor paradise with everything from hiking, walking, running, cycling, fishing, surfing, kite-surfing, birding, fooding, drinking, canal cruising and paddling, river boating and even golfing at not one, but two, Top-100 courses.

Try the Local Chokka (squid) and let Clive show you how it’s done.

Take in parkrun on Saturday at 8 or join the Running Club on Tuesdays at Quayside

Learn how to miss the bumps and take them in stride – only visitors drive a straight line!

Google the Chokka Trail and experience one of SA’s award winners.

Drink some wine and catch the sunset on the Wild Side.

Walk the dunes in Oyster Bay and all around.

Walk between the Two Harbours

and follow it with a fresh brew at Bruce’s

Go Greek at the Big Time, Italian at Mauro’s,  join the locals at Christy’s, take the kids to Rambling Rose, get great beer and food at St Francis Brewing Co., start the day at Peddle and Spoke or Tails and Thyme, let JP fill your gaps at Pommes Frite or spend the day at Joe Fish or Fullstop.

I recommend the Santa Burger at The Links!

Sell St Francis whenever you can!

As I see 2020 already sailing along, I continue to meet people from all over the world who ask me what I like most about St Francis Bay. I say simply, “Your blood pressure drops when you cross the Kromme River Bridge”. After you have chased the traffic in CT and battled for tee times in the Garden Route, remember all that we offer and all at an easy pace! This weekend we hosted another wedding with new friends coming from all parts. Guess what, they all went away happy!

Greet others before they greet you!

Our very first group celebrated 14 years here!

Colin Higgins has been bringing his mates to St Francis Links since February 2007. The majority of them have made every trip and it took 14 years for them to be all square going into the Singles matches. After two rounds of betterball matchplay and one 18 of greensomes. Altus was easily this year’s MVP as he fashioned a little sub-40 back nine in his first match, then continued on undefeated, carrying every teammate with him.  We love hosting the guys and every year, without fail, the Chef prepares everything needed for dinner and then they braai or bake it!

Lynn and Margot take out the ladies, bring on the men!

Dr Lynn Slogrove and Margot McGregor have always been a formidable pair to compete with on the course. This time they teamed up for the Ladies’ Knockout and marched to victory over Debbie McCracken and Elmarie Maarschalk.

Because we can, their final match will be against the Men’s Champions!
