We have been observing the driving range quite intently over the past month and a half, making sure that the practice area is up to the correct standard for our members and visitors. We have noticed that the divots are a big factor in this and would like to share with you the correct way of utilizing the range by getting the most out of your practice session.
Just an insider of what goes on: The grass in winter grows a bit slower and takes some time to germinate correctly, 5 days to be exact. After we have put down the seeds we will cover them with a top layer of sand and smooth it out over the area of divots. We cut the grass twice a week to make sure that it is at the correct length.
Below is a picture of how to use the range correctly by using minimal space therefore maximizing the use of the range for longer periods.
See you on the practice tee.
