Bart Logie Launches His 12th Travel Book! |
|
Bartle “Bart” Logie who is familiar to many of our members, is a retired school teacher and former headmaster of Woodridge College and Preparatory School (a private school near Thornhill, between Jeffrey’s Bay and Port Elizabeth, South Africa), and lives in St Francis Bay.
As a result of his particular interest in the history of his favorite province, he has written magazine articles on various aspects of the region. A study of old farm buildings in the former Humansdorp Division of the old Cape Colony led to the compilation in 2010 of a historical gazetteer for the area, and he has also completed a similar volume for the Uitenhage and Port Elizabeth Divisions on behalf of the Historical Society of Port Elizabeth.
He has contributed towards reports on localities such as the Baviaanskloof Mega Reserve and the village of Hankey for various central government and local authorities. His research and writings have also appeared on a number of tourism websites.
Together with his wife, our wonderful Caryl, botanical consultant, he has been involved – when not writing or traveling – in a variety of projects connected with the preservation of biodiversity in the Eastern Cape.
His book will be for sale!

What if we weren’t trying to ‘sell’ you on a ‘custom fitting’? What if we were trying to sell you on ‘better feelings?’ |
|
|
What if our proposition was that we could give you more of those quiet feelings of pride and accomplishment when the golf ball explodes off the sweet spot?
What if our proposition included more feelings of awe and satisfaction while you watched another ball on flight to where you wanted it to go?
|
|
Golf equipment that is set up too heavy or light, too long or short, too stiff or with too much flex, with a wrong setup of lie angles and lofts and bounce and technology design can make it much more difficult to experience those feelings. In fact, they can create the feelings you don’t want. |
We want to inspire you to continue to play golf and even play more golf. For whatever reason you think you play, we know that creating more good experiences for you will make it easier to continue to inspire you. |
Take 45 – 60 minutes with us, and we’ll show you how we can make your golf experience better every time you play. |

|
Most of the shots you lose on the putting green are lost because your first effort didn’t finish close enough in distance, not accuracy. Yet, most golfers spend an age trying to work out the line on their first putt. |
Besides the fact that we’re all concerned about the pace of play, it’s the wrong priority. From 45 feet, we might miss one or two feet either side. But we can sometimes leave it 5 feet short or go 5 feet past. |
Next time out, play your round with your focus on finishing no more than 2 feet short or 2 feet long on every putt over 20 feet.
How many 3-putts will you have? Get it right, and the number will be ZERO. What does that do to your scorecard? |
Join us and learn to roll it closer |
If you’d be interested in a one-off “roll it closer” practice club, where we’ll look at ways to better control distance on your putts and reduce the chance of ugly 3-putts, then let us know. |
