Keep coming – just in smaller numbers
The new Covid19 Level Three restrictions on gatherings have forced us to control the number of people inside the Clubhouse. We will be doing virtual prizegivings for the near future (this too, shall pass) and loading them on our social media groups. Please come and enjoy the golf, have a celebratory drink or two after the game, then move on. That even sounded crappy as I wrote it!
We will continue to offer our regular weekly specials to go and look after as many guests daily as we are allowed.
Note: The Annual Men’s Invitational is ON with a “One-Tee” start on Saturday and Sunday. There will be no official functions for the tournament and the amount budgeted for the functions will be reduced in the entry fee – By the way, the field is nearly at capacity with more than 116 entries to date!
The Return of the Corporate Cup to St Francis Links
For the second time in as many years, the Corporate Cup hosted by Richard Gill, returned to St Francis Links and Cape St Francis Resort. 44 golfers made the trek from CT and other parts of the country for a proper Road Trip that included three nights at The Resort and two games of golf here. Richard has been running the Corporate Challenge for years in the Western Cape with fantastic sponsorship and a database of thousands. for us and The Resort to be sponsors as well, we are reaching the entire database too! The golfers who attended this outing were treated to great weather, food and drink! We look forward to having them back next year!
Hi Jeff / Anita
Thanks once again for hosting my Garden Route tour, it was a great success once again.
You can diarise the same time for next year (Thurs 16th & Fri 17th June) but will chat to you nearer the time.
I’ve put together a ‘memories video’ which be found on my YouTube channel.
Also on Facebook and I’ve tagged you, you’re welcome to share.
Richard.
Our first Fancourt “friendly”; Gary wowed his friends!
Maybe we should have called it the Tony Gunton Invitational. the Fancourt member and soon-to-be SF Links member brought friends to The Links and we offered up our members as hosts (and in the end, victims). The guests got the better of us with a 39,5 average to our 38.
Gary De Bruin had two three-balls here for golf at the Links and The Bay. They played hard (on and off the course) and we loved having them.
Fun Run was like old times!
116 entered for the Men’s Invitational – maximum 120
Game drives and the great game of Golf at the perfect venue!
The Return of ELS for Autism (with limited spots) NOT
Due to new Covid Level 3 restrictions, we cannot host enough guests in the Clubhouse to make the event worthwhile. The dinner following, the stories and the auction simply cannot take place. Guests who had planned to travel are now hesitant. We have tentatively reset the data for the 2nd week in November. Thanks for your support!

Team Star of the Week – Renaldo Walters
On the 15th of December 2020 I received an opportunity to work at St Francis Links as a casual. I have been working here for 6 months and I have to say the experience is unexplainable. I work in the golf department and am trained as a golf cart attendant.
I enjoy working at St Francis Links and love everything that comes with it. The part I love most about my job is meeting people from all over the world and giving our members as well as their guests the best service and an unforgettable experience.
My favourite hobby is playing soccer but very soon I will be a good golfer. I come from a loving, caring and God-fearing family. I am my Mother’s last born and have an older sister. I am a father of one, his name is Rezario and he is 3 months old.
Motivations: Don’t stop and keep going and work very hard.

Thank you all for caring about your course – #leading the way
