Taking place on 25 and 26 January 2025.
This exciting golfing event promises to be a highlight of the season, featuring a Betterball Stableford format where the average points of each team will determine the overall winner. We are thrilled to announce that Titleist and FootJoy have partnered with us this year, offering some fantastic prizes for participants. |
On the first day, golfers will tackle 18 holes at The Bay, competing in a Betterball Stableford format with an 85% Handicap Conversion for the morning round. After an exhilarating day on the course, participants can unwind and enjoy live entertainment at The Bay. |
The second day will feature another round of 18 holes at St Francis Links, also using the Betterball Stableford format with an 85% Handicap Conversion. ScoreCapture Online Scoring Platform Update |
We are pleased to announce that we have resumed using the ScoreCapture online scoring platform following the festive period. This platform will be utilised on our regular competition days, which are Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
To ensure a smooth experience for all participants, it is essential that everyone downloads the ScoreCapture application and sets up their profile if they have not done so already. This step is crucial for effective participation in our competitions and to facilitate real-time scoring updates.
The application can typically be found on major app stores or directly from the official ScoreCapture website.
Once downloaded, users should follow the prompts to create an account and complete their profile setup. This will allow you to engage fully with our competitions and access all features of the platform. |
Clubhouse Roof Conversion And Renovations Are Underway! |
What to expect when you get here: |
THE BAR: The entrance level of the Clubhouse is currently unfurnished as we prepare for construction. While the temporary bar on the lower level is being installed and stocked, there will unfortunately not be a bar facility available on the 23rd and 24th. However the Halfway Deli remains open for your enjoyment, including drinks. We aim to open the temporary bar sometime later on Friday and will keep you updated.
MEALS: All meals are being served from the Halfway Deli in the lower level of the clubhouse. Please join us! (Pizzas will be available again as of Saturday, from the Halfway Deli)
THE BAR AND HALFWAY DELI: Will remain open daily for extended hours, offering a la carte meals, your favourite blackboard specials and even Valentine’s Dinner!
HOA SERVICES: You will find the ladies in the office container in the clubhouse parking area. The office hours will be published, but kindly prepare to attend to your HOA needs during work hours, Monday to Friday.
Finally, you’ll still be able to walk through the clubhouse to access the lower level for this weekend still, but not as of next week. For safety reasons, kindly access the Halfway Deli through the Golf Shop and use the locker room ablutions, avoiding the temporary bar area as we finish installing. As of next week, the lower level will be accessed around the outsides of the Clubhouse. Turning golfers should please continue to use the locker room ablutions at all times.
Thank you for your understanding and we will keep you updated! |

In previous articles we’ve challenged you to add speed to your golf swing and to tighten your dispersion pattern in 2025.
Here’s another challenge. It’s a skills challenge. Improve this skill and you could lose between 5 and 10 shots off your scorecard. |
Start from 40 metres from a flag with ten balls. Can you play each ball and get within 8 feet in two shots or less each time? Doesn’t sound difficult? Plan to try it.
Once you have the consistency to do that, move to 6 feet. That becomes your new benchmark. Then move to the “master” level and challenge yourself to get within 4 feet in two shots or less, ten successive times. |
Three things are required to become a wizard with the wedge. Technique. A wedge that makes it as easy as possible to be consistent. Practice.
|
Every golfer can be a wizard with the wedge. The magic you make is disappearing strokes off your scorecard. |

Srixon Exploring
|
new Boundaries

|
When engineers are able to work with stronger, lighter, more flexible metals they can break through previous limitations. Srixon engineers have broken through those limitations. |
The new I-FLEX face, in the new Srixon ZXi metalwoods, is much faster. It also has dual flex zones to deliver that added speed across the face. More speed. More consistently. |
There’s also room for more adjustability to personalise your Srixon ZXi Driver. Across the three models you have options to tune spin (for distance), tune shot shape (for more fairways found) and tune swing weight (to improve the feel).
There’s also a 1.5 degree adjustment potential in the loft sleeve to tune loft, lie, and face angle.
|
How do you want to change your experience from the tee? How can we use the options provided by the new ZXi Metalwoods from Srixon to create your chosen breakthrough? Let’s test how fast and far you could go. |
