South Africa WINS! Gerta qualifies for the Olympics! 
Wherever you were and whoever you were with, it had to be one for the memory books. I will never question the value of a good scrum; I will cherish the nearly flawless game plan and I will remember the spirit of the nation. Why can’t we get our politicians to unite and play together like this team?

On Friday night, I had the privilege to, once again, be the emcee for Gideon DuPlessis’ Charity Gold Day and Dinner for Child Welfare. After handing over another cheque for R1M, Liezl and I stayed on for the rugby and I stayed further to play in two Pro-Ams. I must say that I would have preferred to pacing between screens in Jack’s Bar with everyone here, but the vibe was good there as well.

On a final note, the Japanese really put on a show. We all know it is expensive for us, but they really got behind the event, supported South Africa and every match…great stuff! 
 

JOHANNESBURG – Athletics South Africa (ASA) on Monday announced a 56-member ‘Preparation Squad’ for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
A notable inclusion was Gerda Steyn who finished 11th at the New York Marathon on Sunday. The 29-year-old bettered her previous best by over three minutes to take 11th place overall in the women’s race time of 2:27:48.

The St Francis Links HOTEL by Mantis – SHOW UNITS are under construction 

The proposed St Francis Links Hotel by Mantis is being sold as a sectional title scheme. Now, three units are being built as show units to promote sales.

 The show unit, comprised of one, two-bedroom unit and two, one-bedroom units will be completed for the season. 

The Hotel will consist of 60 1 and 2-bedroom suites, modelled after the successful hotel development at Pearl Valley, where the 2nd phase was launched recently. The Clubhouse will be home to reception manned 24/7, the Food and Beverage services, Bard’au, the Spa and of course, the home of the Jack Nicklaus Signature Course!  Pam Golding Properties are handling the sales for the Hotel. New ITS Logo 1   selective

Ernie and Linda Müller and their Team from Selective Lighting are making Fridays extra special at St Francis Links. Once a month, they host the Selective Lighting/The Fireworks Friday Competition. We shotgun start the players for 9 holes. Starting times are based on the season, 14h30 in the “Cool Season” and 15h30 in the summer months. Be a part of growing the Club and join us for nine and some good times after golf! Please enter in advance for numbers.
