Pets on the Estate

For the past couple of months, I have had a few calls, discussions and concerns raised by fellow home owners about domestic animals on the estate. It was also discussed in our last Board meeting.

I wish to refer you to 6.3 under the Rules of the HOA in your handbook (page 3), which sets out the control of pets on the Estate and would like to draw your attention to the most notable points:

• Pets must wear collars with a name tag indicating the owner’s telephone number
• Dogs must be kept in an adequately contained area within the Owner’s property and when outside of the Owner’s property, must at all times be on a leash under the control of a responsible person (and in this case, a scooper should be carried)

A provision is made for the issuance of fines for those in contravention. There are further points which you should please refer to if you have an animal, but I would like to request your co-operation and understanding in this matter. I trust that everyone will adhere to these points … we like to be cheerleaders and not policemen!
